Harrismith , Free State Part1 Where to go on holidays if you have only 1 or 2 days. Harrismith is a small town in the middle of the road between Durban and Johannesburg. I was invited to see this town and did not go last week. This week I am free, and it is Heritage Day and I decided to go. My journey started from Lanseria airport , then I took N3 and carried on throughout Johannesburg, East Rand, offramp to Heidelberg, to Vereeniging. There are two Toll Plazas on my way to Harrismith : Wilge Toll Plaza and Hoek Plaza. Road to Harrismith is rather monotonous, but not very busy. It took me 3 hours drive to reach Harrismith, and only because I have started from Lanseria. The town is very small, only several streets. Despite that I found that amount of Bed & breakfast, guest houses, hotels are rather disproportionate for the small town. My first choice was De Oude Huise Yard, it was easy to find it, but unfortunately they were fully booked and Sandra Cronje arranged for m
